Hey Benjamin, I tend to cook my evening meals for the week on Sunday. That way I don’t need to worry about cooking in the evening and I can spend that time elsewhere. It gives me the freedom to work on personal projects for an additional 1–2 hours in the evening and at least an hour with my partner. We tend to use that time to disconnect from electronics and distractions completely, chat about our day and maybe go for a walk.
The majority of my projects require collaboration and communication. One of the teams I work on has adopted this routine, so we talk for 20–30 minutes twice a week in the morning and one evening per week (obviously this makes it easier that we’ve all adopted this schedule.) The other team I work with works in a later time zone, so we touch base in the evenings during one of my evening work hours.
